BIO

Vera Zubarev is a Lecturer in the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures in the School of Arts and Sciences. An author of several volumes of poetry in English, in Russian, and in translation, she has also written several books of literary criticism. In addition to her scholarly research and writing, she is a film director. She holds a PhD in Russian Literature from the University of Pennsylvania.
